Kauai '05

In Feb. 2005, Linda and Dan asked Chelsea, and I to join them in Kauai. It POURED!! The whole time we were there. Actually, that's not true. On the last day, on the way to the airport, it cleared.

Nevertheless, we had a LOT of fun!

Dan on the balcony at the condo in which we stayed in Kapaa.

Checking out the sailing at Dukes

The Napali coast from the very north end of the island near Princeville. Chelsea is always looking for the best view.

St. Dan calms the flooding waters. In gratitude, the locals named the stream "DanIwannaPeePee".

Dan takes a quick short-cut to the top. See you there...

Here's a couple of bucks pal. Go put some meat on them bones.

Gary and Chelsea sing Hawaiian love songs for money from passers-by while standing at attention. Something we like to do when hiking.

What sign, ociffier?

A hike that we took up through the Wailea canyon. The directions were, "When you think you have come to the end, Keep going, then keep going some more. When we could not go any further, we were rewarded with an unbelievable view from the top of one of the mountains on the Napali coast. Naturally, I was petrified.

The Norfolk pines grow wild in Kauai. And the new buds look just like lizards!

Sunrise from the room. Just not used to seeing sunrise over the ocean.

Whale fluke from sunset cruise. Speaking of fluke (NOT), it started to rain while we were out on the boat.

The sun came out on the last day. We stopped at Ahukini Point near the airport and took in some sun.
