Sandra found these old pics that Mom gave her (which Mom doesn't remember). I think this album belonged to Mom's Aunt Marie Hickey - our Great Grandmother's sister. If so, we really don't know the identity of some of the older people in these photos. They could be Melchoirs (likely), Lotschs, or Hickeys.

This is the front cover of the album. The theme here seems to be around Mary and her family, especially her sister Anna. Looks like a family photo in the center. These are probably her parents, John Melchoir and Caroline Lotsch, both born in Germany about 1850. |

Since Anna had only one sister, the person who wrote on this would be the child of Aunt Marie Hickey. But I didn't know she had kids. And that doesn't look like Anna. This could be in San Jose at Anna's candy store, where Gramps and Nana met. |
