Six Birdies

On a beautiful spring day, May 1, 2019, I went out to play at Windsor golf with Geoff, Bob Shoenberger, and his buddy Glenn. I shot 1 over par from the white tees, but obviously that is not the story. I had been practice putting inside the house with my very old Odessy 2-ball putter and it felt really good, so I decided to play it that day. After a lackluster beginning of bogey, double-bogey, I birdied the following holes:

#3 - Short par 4. Good drive, chip to 10 ft or so, then a slightly breaking putt.

#5 - 147 yd. par 3. Hit to about 15 ft, and sank the pretty straight putt.

#9 - Big drive put me just in front of the creek, then 3-wood to just off the right side of the green. 5-hybrid to roll the ball from the tight lie to within 18 inches.

+1 after the front 9.

#10 - Poor hook/draw drive, but good recovery to 65 yds out, the ball sitting on a hill to the right of the fairway. Wedge to 25 ft. Sank the putt with a slight break to the right.

Followed with 4 pars, then double bogey on 15. An easy approach to elevated green missed badly into a  collection area to the left. 4 to get up and down.

#17 - Par 5 dogleg left. I drew the ball to much and got a good bounce out of the trees to the left. 150 yd 7-iron to the creek, 100 yds out. Wedge to 2 ft.

#18 - Par 4. Good drive, better 9 iron to 3 ft.
