Jaime

Jaime was born January 1982. On her birth certificate is the spelling "Jamie" and we have a quiet battle over it to this day. She was named after a college girl I met while still in high school. She worked in the kitchen, along with me, at Riordan High School. Again, I liked the name.

Jaime was very 'strong-willed'. She seemed to very much enjoy stirring things up, and was never afraid of the consequences.

She grew up to become a wonderful wife to Sean and a great mom to Kailey.

It was perfect. Jamie, pointing out to everyone, that Lindsey, sitting in front holding her little girl, was "...born to be a mommy".

Jaime's Family

Since she was very young, Jaime told anyone who would listen that she was NOT going to have kids. This continued until about 2012 when she was about 30 yrs old. At least, that is when I first heard of her change of heart. I remember exactly when and where we were at the time. We were in Maui, Hawaii at a Luau celebrating her 30th birthday. She told June and I that maybe she would like to have a child. 'Well", I replied, "that's very nice, but don't you think you need to have a husband first?" She didn't even have a boyfriend at the time.

"Not necessarily", she said. I admit I was a bit concerned at the time.

But alas, things changed pretty quickly after that. She eventually met Sean, he came to visit for a long weekend, he proposed on their way home, and they were married in Sept. 2015.

In Sept 2017, Kailey was born. I grin whenever I see her because, to me, she is the spittin' image of Jaime. In her own way, Jaime was born to be a mommy.
