Gary and I up for two weeks and another 4th of July birthday week!
6/30 - Cleaned the cabin.
7/1 - Drove to So. Lake Tahoe to find parts for a leaky bathtub faucet, curtains, and other cabin stuff. We fit in a short hike and bike ride to Barker pass. No snow on the ground like last year.
7/2 - The Harringtons show up thru 7/8.
7/3 - Hike to Quail Lake. Gary and Bruce ride bikes to explore Lake Louise. See Ellis Peak page.
7/4 - Pick up Alicia at Reno airport. Bike to fireworks at Erman mansion. Dark and creepy ride home.
7/5 - Big hike to Lake Louise. We left from the cabin on foot. About 4.5 hrs. We came down at Homewood.
7/6 - Brett drove in. Hike up Barker Pass, drive to Kings beach for concert and Pee Wee golf.
7/7 - Rafted down the Truckee, then dinner at Sunnyside.
7/8 - Alicia to airport. Then B'fast at Firesign. Then everyone left.
7/9 - Gary worked. Hiked around Homewood trails. Bought stuff for the cabin.
7/10 - Incline Village for golf at Mountain course. Drove though Crystal Bay mansions on North Shore.
7/12 - Went on 2 hr. sail from Tahoe City to Sugarpine. Great views of Homewood from the lake. There was plenty of wind, so now we are thinking of bringing the Windrider up. Check out the sailing page.
7/13 - Trip to So. Lake Tahoe to spend day with Dan and Linda. Bike ride to a few beaches and upper tributary marsh area.Great concert in the evening: Doobie Bros and Chicago at Harveys outdoor amphitheater.
7/14 - Gary fixed the leaky bathtub faucet. Hike to Quail and pool.
7/16 - 7/18 (Thurs - Sun)
Girls weekend with Maryanne and Carolyn. Tennis and pool in the am,biked to Squaw Valley, hiked to lower Eagle falls and got caught in a freaky hail thunderstorm. Ended with dinner at Sunnyside (Gary got in on that).
