And off we go...a ride to Playa Las Gatas, then return later in the day.
Beautiful ride in the bay
Coming back in the afternoon
Sitting on the beach drinking beer for 25 pesos ($1.25)
In the marina near 'the cats'
Short 50-yd snorkle out to see the submerged Jesus statue.
Twice we had a nice dinner at La Perla
And two nice sunsets
A short 1 mile walk into Zihua
Zihua is known as a small fishing village with some tourism
Looking back towards our hotel
The local museum
Inhabitants date back to 8oo BC
Some ancient artifacts
No idea who this guy is.
But we found this place easily and bought a nice bottle.
Tasted with the owner
We took a cab 20 miles north to Casa del la Trancones

...and walking on the beach...
The kids rode horses
...and watching the surfers...
...checking out the local wildlife...
...and eating the local wildlife...
...and going into town...
...local turtle release program.
Muchas Gracias Geoff and Sue!!
Our room at Las Brisas in Ixtapa
The beer is really cheap (after converting to pesos).
The pool (my back was still tweaked).
From our balcony...
The grounds, which required a good deal of walking.
